promises to remain in telepathic contact with the sages. "I shall
communicate in my words to you, just as if you were present". 


While telepathy is a possibility, I recall another mode mentioned somewhere in the vast Theosophical corpus. Evidently an Adept can make a relative vacuum in the atmosphere and extend this tube over thousands of miles, if need be. Then by speaking in the normal manner, into this invisible tube, which ends near the ear of the intended recipient, the ordinary words are heard.
