The sentence erroneously slants * perfected man *[see bracketed statement 
below] , whereas , it is Theosohy's contention that MAN or Pieter (Peter) is 
seeking perfection through the i "incorruptible" (St. PAUL) ie: ATMA  and 
overcoming the "corruptible" (Lower Iddhi) MAYA, "false personality" to 
achieve perfection and be re-united with his "Father" or ,in other words 
Theosophy's 1st CAUSE or CAUSELESS CAUSE in the strictest altruistic sense of 
it all.
The writer of this said article already had a preconcieved notion through 
dogma  ,as many of us do , and H.P.B.'s advice to seek TRUTH instead of 
fiction or that which accords with the "incorruptible" is an invitation to 
that writer , as well as the rest of us , to seek and affirm , rather than 
,not seek and deny , and in this case it is better , in Shakespeare's words 
"To be or not to be, that is the question"
Our purity or our perfection in THIS world is our "Glass darkly" .
The Eternal Spirit is perfection itself and having left that perfection we 
are now all seekers.You know , that starting out from the top where else can 
you go but..... but Theosophy's invitation is to reverse this course or , in 
other words , on that famous prodigal son's words (roughly) "I shall CLEAN up 
and go unto the house of my father"

The basic teaching of theosophy is the universal brotherhood of
humanity. Hence springs the preaching of toleration to all
persons and to all varieties of belief, e.g. Buddhists,
Christians, Atheists, It considers the different religions as
methods adopted by man in the search for God. They are of
necessity various, because men differ in temperament, type,
needs, and stages of evolution. Hence they are different and
imperfect expressions of truth. As such it says: "we cannot

peacemaker, for it teaches that all religions mean one and the
same thing, or rather that they are all branches of a single 
tree.

In this sense it attacks comparative mythology which tries to
show that religion was originally the fruit of man's ignorance
wand will disappear with the increase of knowledge, whereas in
fact religion comes from Divine knowledge, i.e. theosophy. [PARA]
