The basic three states of consciousness

Feb 15, 2001 09:39 AM
by Eugene Carpenter

Abstract thought is becoming more simple and resonates better with good old common sense.

Definition:  A set is a many that canbe thought of as a one.

Before,- given the zero, one and two- in set notation:

(                       )

(          ( )          )

(      ( ), ( ( ) )    )

I had been guessing that such corresponded to the first three substates of consciousness in any septenary of such states(and for us particularly the manasic, the mental, state of consciousness) Ihad tried to reason as to how this trinity of the first three states would be the same as the Theosophical or at least correspond to these highest planes of the Cosmic Physical Plane:

Logoic:    (                         )

Monadic: (          (   )          )

Atmic:      (          ( . )          )

This is important to my meditation processas they correspond really well, with the Monadic plane being the plane of the One, the (  ( )  ) in set notation.(the parentheses represent circles).  This is conscious (         ) contemplating a perfect representation of itself:
(       (      )       ).

The mystery is this.  How can one see that this:

(     (  ), (  ( )  )    ), the set notation for TWO, is the same as this:

(       (  .  )       ), representing the plane of ATMA, the third plane or state of consciousness?

Without going into my previous machinations, fudgings, rationalizations and egocentric struggles foward the Nobel prize for Wonderfulness in a Human Being, here, it seems that that which follows  is the obvious answer!( Ha! It's been mistake after mistake up to this Point, pun intended!)

The set notation for TWO is:

(       (   ),  (  (   )  )      )

One can see that (    ) represents ZERO and (  (  )  ) represents ONE, in set notation.

Now.  Doesn't the point represent the singularity or the unity which is the universe in it's  unmanifested state?       If so:

(     (  ), (  ( )  )    )  because  (  (  )  )  =  .     can be re-written thusly:

(       (  ),   .         ) andthen combined thusly:

(        ( . )        )

TA   DA !!!!!!

This then represents the third state, or plane, of consciousness, the content of which is the Central Spiritual Son(Sun) within It's ring-pass-not.  It is the Unmanifested Point within the Divine Unity of substance.  It is the central Unity or Perfected Humanity, the beginning and the end of the entire Life cycle, central to the divine substance or divine under-standing that it has culminated throughout eternity.  It is the Jewel within the Lotus, unmanifested but beginning/ending all manifestation.  It is us.  We are, in essence, perfected humanity.

( or, perhaps, still rationalizing)

At least I feel the creative spirit movingthrough me when I try!

Yours,
Eugene
