It was dealing with "consciousness raising" that has given me the
rather stubborn and sometimes grossly impolite style I have. I had to
deal with a great deal of "consciousness raising" technique. The only
real defense is to be prepared to be thoroughly impolite; to be prepared
to call garbage, "garbage" (or stronger language).
