If this is so, then David is surely wrong. For me there is no difference
between Tsongkhapa and SD.
Although I sympathised with David's Dzyan research the last years I wonder
more and more what is going 'round there.
There is a new German SD out since end of 1999 by the Adyar Verlag, the
ex-Adyar Section publisher, and for which David Reigle as co-author and
introducer is much involved. To the sentence of HPB to befound in one
paragraph of her SD saying that in the next century amore informed chela
will arrive and give new and lasting truths of the secret dotrine refers to
David Reigle. So he and his co-workers (at least the German publisher Hank
Troemel, who by-the-by plans with David an American edition of their much
faked and abused SD) sees himself as a messenger of the Masters, claiming
the same knowledge (or higher?) than HPB.
Note that this SD raised very much and loud protests (not only from me) as
this SD VERSION is not a translation, but (to make a long story short) a
concious falsification of all major doctrines. Examples: globes and planets
are intermixed, also spiritual and mind planes are exchanged. Then there are
many wrong quotations in which they lay false claims into the mouth of HPB,
let her say that Theosophy and TS are the same.
Then Franz Hartmann (the first and until today only competent translator of
the SD into German - although editor Hank Troemel speaks of himself in his
introduction that himself is the first trained (where and when?) and
competent (why?) translator since "111 years" (since Hartmann made is good
translation) is wrong accused to have been a willing tool of the völkisch
movement (the forerunner of the Nazi's) as Hartmann translated "race" with
"Rasse" (which the Nazi's used so often) which is wrong doing (he fails to
mention that it is not the word, but rather the content one gives. In
Hartmann's time "race" was used in Germany also by Democrats and scientists
who were not nationalistic.
David Reigle in his introduction expressly praises this poppycock and says
that this "translation" (rather a re-writing of the SD under the good name
of HPB) is well done and a remarkable example of "German scholarship"!!
Further David Reigle writes in this SD VERSION that many chapters of the
original SD are today superfluous, therefore this SD by Reigle and Troemel
has only 700 pages for both volumes (note that c. 350 pages alone consist of
appendic commentaries). But there is no mention of that fact either on front
or back cover. The cover let you believe: A big and thick book, it is the
complete SD. The back cover even says: "Contents the Cosmogenesis and
Anthropogenesis of the SD".
What means that all what is complete is the Stanzas herself (Reigle and
Troemel believe - as Troemel writes in a letter in my possession - that only
the Stanzas of Dzyan make the Cosmogenesis and  Anthropogenesis, not
including the out-moded and wrong presented commentaries of HPB.

To make it short, this faked SD by Reigle and Troemel raised the bigged
crisis on the German Section since the Steiner affair of 1912/13.
Adyar section abandoned all co-operation with this publisher but he is
unwilling to give back the name "Adyar Verlag" to the TS.
I might add that this affair with the SD is not the first one, but there
were the same problems with all other books Troemel has "translated" before.
The result was that the own Section was unable to use and sell the books of
the Adyar Verlag since 1995.
No it seems that as a "gentleman agreement (?!) Leadbeater fanatic Dr. Peter
Michel of the Aquamarin-Verlag near Munich will take over the possesssions
of teh Adyar Verlag. Michel writes in his biography about Leadbeater
(subtitled: "With the eyes of a Seer" - not a clairvoyant) that all the
reasearch of Gregory Tillett about the faked birthday of Leadbeater is wrong
and that there are "occult reasons" for the contradictions - but he gives
them not.

Daniel, Now you may understand why I wonder what is oing around when I hear
about Dabiv Reigle. Judging from his own words there is the question: Is he
a true student of HPB or is he not? I am meditating for an answer.

PS: If David reads this I would like to get a comment from him, wether
public or private.
