Theos-World The Hebrew Talisman

Dear friends,

I have another question regarding Theosophy and allegations of anti-semetism:

Can anybody tell me anything about the allegation made by James Webb in "The
Occult Establishment" (229 ff.) that the TS republished in 1888 an anti-semetic
tract titled "The Hebrew Talisman."? The editor was supposedly Richard Harte, a
Theosophist living at Landsdowne road and helping HPB with the SD. Webb's proof
for this allegation is very thin, mainly based on the assertion of a newspaper
and Francis King of having seen the publication. The allegation is made in the
context of a discussion of the fabrication and transmission of the "Protocols of
the Eelders of Zion," and the role of a Yuliana Glinka, a Theosophist who might
have been responsible of transmitting the document from France to Russia.

Has anybody ever written a critical review of Webb's work?

Govert
