In an oblique theosophical reference - Yesterday I saw a piece on the
upcoming film version of 'Battlefield Earth' by infamous scientology and
Dianetics founder L. Ron Hubbard. This film has been promised ever since the
book came out, but the sheer logistics and financing required have not been
available until now - and who should be playing the lead role but none other
than current scientology hero John Travolta.

Of course the theopshical point I want to make is irrelevant unless anybody
has read the book - so I won't bother going on unless someone has read the
book (it is supposedly the longest Science Fiction book ever).
