Yes, indeed there are wonderful metaphysical bible sources. My favorite
source is the "New Age Bible Interpretation" series by Corinne Heline. There
are 7 volumes, covering all the books of the Bible. You can purchase them
individually. They range in price from $17 - $23. Volumes 1-3 cover the Old
Testament. Describes how everything in it is symbolism and relevant to
spiritual students when we dig behind the symbolism. Volume 4 - concerns
"Preparation for the Coming of the Light of the World", describing the
Essenes, background of John the Baptist, Mary and Joseph, and events all the
way through the birth of Jesus and the Temptation. Volume V concerns "Christ
and His Mission," delving into the parables, the miracles, the Initiatory
Teachings, the Resurrection, etc. Volume VI covers the Gospels....has
portraits of the Disciples, the Acts, and the rest of the New Testament
through Revelations. Volume VII is called "Mystery of the Christus," and is
a beautiful description of the deeper mystical meanings behind Christ.
Describes the difference between "Cosmic Christ", "Planetary Christ,"
"Historical Christ," and "Mystical Christ." Also recapitulates many of the
issues discussed in Helene's previous New Testament volumes. This volume is
my favorite, but the whole set is most enlightening.

The Rosicrucian Fellowship, founded by Max Heindel, is one source from which
to order these.

Also, there is a small booklet by Heline which is posted in its entirity on
the Rosicrucian web site. It is a mini-version of her Bible teachings, so is
a good place to start before deciding if this is for you. It is called "The
Bible: Wonder Book of the Ages." The following link will not only get you
there, but will link to Bible teachings by Max Heindel, which you can read
online.

A friend once had a study group on Heline's books, and used as her guide the
correspondence course offered by Heline's publishers. Said it worked out
wonderfully. She presented to the group the studies sent to her. Here is
the address you would need to use in order to go directly to the publisher
and obtain Heline's correspondence course.

Hope this helps!
