Dear Mika:
The fact is that you and I and everyone else who is human and who
THINKS is a "Manasaputra." that is all that the statement means in
the Hindu Philosophy and way of explaining the nature of that
consciousness that wells up in all of us individually as the capacity
to say I am myself: Ego.
Such things have a Source and this is the metaphysical way of trying
to get us to see that the source of our own being is a power (however
undefined) that gives us our identity.
It is still a different question ( unanswered so far) as to how we
acquire a body, and that it is so marvelously made that we have very
little to do except to use it, whether for good or ill -- depends on
our motivation.

Thank you, Dallas. I was just making a poor joke or something. If
we go far enough there eventually comes some 'thing' that happens
on its own. Manasa-putras and all that sort of things are 'out of my
world' anyway. Or perhaps it`s just that I can`t see them...
