RE: Theos-World Explaining Theosophy to Christians

Hi Maxie,
I do however wish those that were unready
would stop thinking we (theosophists) are wrong.
In what way can it affect you what others think, except if you decide to be the recipient of those thoughts? I think it's up to us how we decide to feel
If they left me alone i'd
probably leave them alone.
A dear friend of mine told me something one day that has proved very useful to me. He said ACT, DO NOT REACT. We are always reacting. And it's just a chain of reactions, because probably the other person is also reacting in his/her turn. When we react, we are not basing our action upon our own principles, but upon the action/reaction of another person. To be able to act, one should first stop, put himself in the other person's shoes, and try to understand why he has acted that way, seeing the situation from his own angle, and then act according to how we think we should act.
It sounds more complicated than it is, Maxie, I promise. Question of paying attention and trying...
My sister in law wrote an article this week for
her Mormon newsletter and left it conveniently lying around for me to read.
Supposedly i am not saved etc etc...
If you do not react, you will probably find it easier... ;-)
Another hug,
Ana.
