Aidan:
Concerning your inquiry about "a specifically Parsi form of Theosophy,"
here's something I know, which hopefully will be useful to you.
I have two books written by Shroff. The spelling (and duration) of his name
is different in the book from the one you quoted from Prof. Hinnelis' book.
He is called Ustad Saheb Beramshaw N. Shroff. One of his books is
Khvarenangh Khoreh Aura, and the other is called Meher Yazad.
The first book especially I found rather interesting, in that here Shroff
attempts to understand different ways of analyzing the aura, as in the
Chinese, the Indian, and the Zoroastrian systems. He reproduces a number of
C.W. Leadbeater's paintings of the human aura, and other relevant material.
The copyright page has some information you might find useful, as well, since
it includes an address where you can find out more. It says:
"Published under the auspices of the MAZDAYASNIE MONASTERIE having its
registered office at Mustafa Building, Sir Pherosha Mehta Road, Fort, Bombay
400 001 India. [I bought these books at this location, when I visited Bombay
in 1986.] The editor, Mrs. Meher Master-Moos and the Mazdayasnie Monasterie
are responsible... [for] this book.
"The Mazdayasnie Monasterie is a foundation for promoting scientific
educational religious and charitable work and research. The objects of the
MM are inter-alia to spread the light of the knowledge, understanding and
practice of the scientific and spiritual divine universal natural laws
enunciated in the Mazdayasnie Zarathushtrian [sic] daena revealed through
Asho Spitman Zarathushtra [sic] in the scientific light of Ilm e Khshnoom for
the universal benefit of humanity. Registered...Bombay... 1950.
"This book is not for sale in bookshops. It is available from the registered
Head Office of the Mazdayasnie Monasterie in Bombay and from its authorised
local representatives outside Bombay."
I hope the above is useful to you.
