Dear Lucio:

To fully answer your questions would take up a lot of pages.

There is an inexpensive solution since there exiusts a documentary
History of the Theosophical Movement.

It is titled: THE THEOSOPHICAL MOVEMENT: 1875 - 1950

Publisher Cunningham Press, Los Angeles [ available through ]:

	Theosophy Company,
	245 W. 33rd St.,
	Los Angeles, Ca., 90007	213-948-7244

	Price $ 7.00 (about 350 pages), Introduction & Index.

Best Wishes

Dallas

years
ago?
With the exeption of a few torch bearer like Leadbeater and Gefrey
Hodson and a very few others there has not bean many others to explain
the
third object of the T.S. to investigate the latent potentiality of our
mind.
even the ability of some to do so has bean discouraged.
science instead has caught up in explaining much of it for peoples who
take
care to look for it

2) What were some of the elements of the origins of the TSA that made
it
expand and grow?
In the early part of this century there has been a great discontent
with the
organised religions. Many peoples seeked elsewhere, For an answer to
their
questions. Such as in the eastern religions words now such as karma
and
reincarnation is almost common place now.
Astrology is being followed by many . unfortunately its esoteric
aspect is
neglected by many.

3) How did the decline begin?
My observation is that there is still a great gap between the
Philosophy
of the Hindu, and that of the west.
one calls the phenomenal objective existence illusion or (maya)
While the ancient Greek philosophers Up to the present time
reality is all around us and all inclusive.

4) What does a decline in membership mean in and of itself?
It mean there are less members.
It does not mean there are less peoples who follow it`s Objectives.
there is the possibility that the inner circle of the organisation
is to
narow minded to enlarge into subjects which which differ from their
excepted picture of a perfect society

5) What goals/projects does the TSA have that can mobilise its
energies?
There are as many ideals as there are individuals.
Indeed truth is an inword search .It is not a religion. But a way of
life
based in love respect for all life and our earth.
compassion is not learned in books so much but is felt in the depth of
our
soul. you can bring the horse to water but you can not make it drink
