RE: Theos-World Scientific discoveries

Dear Art:

By nature I am omnivorous - as to the acquirement of information
and knowledge. Perhaps this comes naturally, but my early
reading of ISIS UNVEILED and the SECRET DOCTRINE added hugely to
my pleasure in securing the widest possible horizon from which to
look at any one item of information.

I am quite convinced that when we look for universal analogies,
we can find them. Nature is economical and so uses similarities,
and in its action as "universal adjuster" it seeks to restore
that dynamic balance which permits life individual and collective
to progress.

We call that Karma of course and think it only applies
personally, insofar as our motives for good or bad are concerned,
but it has a far wider import.

You are quite intriguing to me when you mention ancient Manichean
texts and Buddhist texts being newly discovered. I have not
heard of that. Where did you secure that information ?

Would it not be a good idea for you to post to all of us a note
telling us about this and its importance? I would welcome the
information. Is there some way that this can be kept on-going ?

Best wishes and thanks

Dallas

Thanks Dallas for your kind response to my post earlier. I do not
have your
perspective on these matters being relatively new to this list.

With the expanding discoveries being made in archeology and
natural
sciences... astronomy, I feel it is very important to keep
apprised of
changing developments in these fields, such as the discoveries of
the Nag
Hammadi scrolls that supplement the work of GRS Mead. I feel a
lot of
theosophists and other esoteric students with the exception of
Hoeller have
basically ignored them.

Manichaean scrolls are turning up in Central Asia.

Most recently the Buddhist scrolls were discovered in Afghanistan
in the
Kharoshti script, a derivative of Aramaic characters. The
Buddhist
documents turn out to be the earliest surviving written records
of the
Buddha's teachings.

I commend you for your work!

Art Gregory
