Doss,
In my opinion, religion is not really the problem here, the unequal
distribution of wealth is. It lies at the bottom of every social dilemma the
world has ever known. Religion becomes an opiate for the masses' when the
"mass" is poor, hungry and suffering. Religions are organized nurtured and
grow by giving hope and charity to the weak and the hopeless. They are the
ones who keep religions alive and strong. Blind faith in a certain belief
system is the only choice that ignorance can make. Meanwhile, the struggle
for power and more wealth that goes on at the top of the pecking order has
nothing to do with religion, only as it serves the purpose of those who are
expanding their greed and selfishness.
