It is also pretty clear, from HPB's flexibility in using these 'principles'
that they too are merely designations, and not realities in themselves. The
seven 'principles' provide a picture of the universe and man that opens up
our perspective and encourages us to work for the highest, but we must not be
attached to this constellation of energies as the final picture. HPB says
herself, according to Commander Bowen in his article "How to Study the Secret
Doctrine," that one's ideas must continually change and become grander, until
the best position is to have no 'position' at all, even on the seven
principles.
