Dear Arnaldo,

Thanks for you thoughts.  Yes, it is difficult enough when we both have the
same native language, let alone when it needs to be translated!

On the question of who is right.   It seemed to me that HPB's words brought
out the importance of both perpectives that you and I were offering.   After
all, she made a point of ending that passage with the very thing you were
saying about altruism:

"What the Theosophist has to do above all is to forget his personality."
