Eldon, I agree. This is exactly why forgiveness is so important--
it "finishes" the business between people.

Well, this sounds a bit hard-nosed. Rather than see other
people as non-entities, I would prefer to see them as
people in need of love and compassion. Forgiveness
helps to sever karmic ties from the past and compassion,
while seeking no reward, allows us to help others
without making new karma.
