Re: Jivanmukta -- Liberation

Thanks Rich.

I think yours is the better translation - that is why I said
"roughly" and of course I did not mean to imply that it was only
after death of this present body that such a "liberation" might
be achieved.

As I understand it: It is a change of consciousness and
perception and this brings on a change in the "finer vesture" the
Linga Sarira.

I found interesting cross references to this in the ELIXIR OF
LIFE ( "Five Years of Theosophy" p. 1), and in PROJECTION OF THE
DOUBLE, and in CONTEMPLATION by D. K. Mavalankar reprinted in
("THEOSOPHICAL ARTICLES AND NOTES, pp 35 to 48.)

I do not mean to confuse the issue, but as the CONSCIOUSNESS of
the Ego is always One, the vehicles through which it manifests
and over which the Ego has control seem to be refined - to be
spiritualized ?

And this proceeds as the Lower Self transmutes itself by strong
will and effort into a truly immortal Consciousness, one that is
worthy of its Parent the True Ego.
