SUBJECT: Theosophy Embraces Nothing....It simply Picks out those
things......?????

Daniel comments:

In the above exchange between Jerry and Dallas, I would have to
agree with Dallas' last reply. Throughout Madame Blavatsky's writings
as well as throughout the letters of the Masters, the view of Theosophy
is that as given by Dallas. Jerry may not agree with that view. That's
okay, but his view is not that as given by HPB and her Masters.

I am somewhat puzzled by Jerry's statement that:

"Theosophy. . . simply picks out those things it likes best . . . "

You certainly don't LITERALLY mean this, do you? "Likes"? Please define
this entity "Theosophy" which can "pick" and "like". Exactly what do you
mean?

Jerry writes: ". . . much the same as I do myself. . . ."
Yes, no doubt, Jerry, you may pick and
choose. That's fine. But that is not what is taught as Theosophy in
the writings of Madame Blavatsky and the Masters. I believe it is a
consistent theme throughout Madame Blavatsky's writings that the
knowledge of Theosophy is based on adept exploration of the world (inner
and outer). For the adepts associated with Madame Blavatsky, Theosophy
is a body of knowledge/wisdom gained through eons
of time by the adept association.

This is stated innumerable times throughout the literature I've
mentioned
above. Jerry has every right to disagree with this view. But so far
on Theos-l and Theos-talk he has never shown to my satisfaction why one
should discard the view of Blavatsky and the adepts and adopt his
view. I could quote numerous extracts from the HPB/Adept corpus
of writings to illustrate what I have just written, but will refrain
at this point from doing so.
