The brain produces electromagnetic waves all the time (as measured by EEG)...
And, this certainly doesn't permanently effect the brain's neurology.  We are
also constantly living in a sea of electromagnetic waves generated by our
radio and TV transmitters as well as in all the power lines surrounding us,
and there is no scientifically valid way of determining the long term effects
on the cellular patterns of the brain--which is, essentially a transformer and
transducer to our consciousness fields and awareness center of the
electromagnetic field information patterns delivered to it by the senses, as
well as the energies of willful intent (to move our bodies) generated by our
self-awareness--considered as the "zero-point focal center of our astral and
consciousness fields (mind and memory) and our "vital "life" energies or

Note that strong electromagnetic radiations, such as those given off by high
power transmission lines, poorly shielded atomic power plants, etc., have been
shown to effect the cells of the body of those living near them for relatively
long periods of time, possibly through mutations of the DNA to produce certain
cancers such as leukemia.  But, this still has not been proven to effect the
workings of the brain--(although it may be a contributing cause of
neurological diseases such as Alzeimers or brain tumors in susceptible
individuals surrounded by these high level EMF radiations).

On the other hand, the magnetic radiations of MRI are extremely low and short
lived as compared to these sources, and should have no more effect on the
brain or body than normal brain waves or the radiation from household
electrical circuits or well shielded electrical apparatus such as, TV, radio,
computer monitors, or high-fi equipment.  (Although, there may be some long
term cellular effects from continued close exposure to EMF radiations that has
not been determined as yet.)
