There's another theosophical mailing list set up by
John Mead and JRC (who jointly run the list) that's
devoted to Theosophy and politics. It's called
"act-l@list.vnet.net". It's a list of the same
format as ti-l or theos-l, and you can subscribe
to it by going to

    http://list.vnet.net/?enter=act-l

That would be a good place to sound out ideas about
Theosophy and politics.
