There are many instances where the welfare of human beings have to be
handled in the political arena. I think that we an individuals can apply
the knowledge of theosophy to identify issues and problems and solutions
and try what we can do in the political arena where they are amenable to
solution.
As an example, it was AOHume who was responsible to start the Indian
National Congress which ultimately won Indian Independence. Hume was one of
the correspondents with whom two of the Adepts corresponded with.
I also had a personal experience where I had to intervene in a political
arena to help the poor and homeless and uninsured to have access to medical
care in the city. I did not sit home and meditate or concentrate on the
solution. I went in and spent days with local politicians and got some
results.
