The rubbish I read was the unfair and untrue attack from Pasadena officials
against Elsi Benjamin and Emmett Small.

My motive is not bitterness but the feeling to tell the truth of historical
facts that are on record.

I totally agree with the last. I too find it important not to fight the old
fights and to look into the future. But better understanding of each other
and better cooperation makes no sense when harmony is made artificial and
the facts are been hidden in fear to speak out what happened. We can agree
that we not agree about the Long affair. For you Long was the shiva and he
had right motives to destroy, I personally take another view.
I sense that Pasadena will change in the next time when a new leader will be
elected. Let's wait and see in what direction they go. Every leader has his
own temperament and policy. The point is - and perhaps, Jerry, you agree -
that the Long matter is not worked off until today. Each side should open
their archives and present the involved documents so that each one
interested in can come to his/her own conclusions and perhaps change her/his
view (including me). We have here in Berlin the records of Elsie Benjamin,
staff member for many years. There was no little or big matter in Point Loma
Elsie was not well informed of or involved in as she had her office direct
beneath the offices of KT and GdeP and the doors were *always* open. If
Pasadena is willing to work off that matter then I could present the facts
from the Point Loma side. I think this is a fair offer. All this has less or
nothing to do with merely emotions. Historical matters must be known,
whether they seem good or bad. One can learn from both. And newbees have a
right to know what happened in Point Loma in 1945 and 1951, don't?
