Dear Darren:
Believe me, you are not alone, nor are your many posting unread.
It may be difficult to say what one desires to you because you
cover a large number of subjects. I would suggest butting some
order in those ideas and set down some basic things you want to
know about. Then one by one they can be clarified if necessary.
WE all began like you are doing.
I started reading Mr. Judge's OCEAN OF THEOSOPHY - and thinking
over it a lot trying to see if I could tear it apart. Then I
started on the KEY TO THEOSOPHY by HPB and found that it tallied
vary closely with Judge's OCEAN. When I hit difficult words I
went either to the dictionary, the encyclopedia or to HPB's
THEOSOPHICAL GLOSSARY. I started reading ISIS UNVEILED and found
it the most interesting historical survey of evidence relating to
esotericism and occultism.
Now that is a large order but if you persist you will find you
acquire facility in dealing with Theosophical ideas concepts and
writing in general. Later you ought to start reading in THE
SECRET DOCTRINE. But try and get the principles clear and
straight as a base.
Best wishes,
Dallas.
