Please read Sex and Buddhism which shows the opposite of what
you are saying here. The notion that "no arhat, bodhisattva or sage
can reach that stage without celibacy" is sheer flapdoodle. You will
not even find HPB or her Masters saying such a silly thing. What they
do say is that celibacy is expected in _their_ system. There
have been countless Tibetan bodisattvas, for example, who practice
karmamudra--meditation while in sexual union with a partner. One
of the greatest Adepts of all time was Ramakrisna, and he was
married.
