Dear Jerry:

I had written and desired to see and meet with you on our way to
or from Brookings at the Get-together in the period 7th/9th. Aug.
But my energy is proving doubtful -- for a long trip by car --
and Val is of the same opinion that I am.

So much as we would like to, we will have to postpone this.  I do
not know for how long, but if we are able to get up to your area,
I will ask if you can let us visit with you then.
