You may be right about the Reincarnating Ego.
Self-consciousness of what is occurring might belong to
some level of initiation, and the idea of "fair" doesn't
occur. However, If your poor human ego doesn't get
enough perceived "fairness" out of life - you will just die or
go nuts, that is all there is to it. The human ego runs on
"Fair," like it or not. If you/it gets smashed
psychologically enough times - You Will Die or become a
basket case.
What is so unfair about the sun going Nova? When
you wake up after dying from natural causes (suicide is a
different matter) - you'll be happy as heck you are finally
dead.
If it wasn't for women, men would all be living in old
schoolbuses and the like. Women are at a decided
disadvantage in philosophy until at least menopause, so
they have to try harder. They have to learn to "think like
men" while men have to develop a certain type of
sentience that women naturally possess. This is karmic.
To be a philosopher it is an advantage to be born in a
man's body, and a curse to be born in a woman's - if you
want to be a philosopher, that is. Men create culture,
women conserve it. This is how it is. If you want to
change it, you'd better work on altering the last billion
years of karma and skandhas which everyone carries
with them. A few petulant protests don't carry much
weight. In the organization of Nature, one isn't any
superior to the other. Women philosophers - like
Blavatsky, Tingley, etc. in their own minds are almost all
working for a male master - or identify with him and his
philosophy. Its the natural process of female psychology.
Without women, I doubt there would be any Theosophical
organizations, they preserve the social form that is
necessary to continue any organization.
Alan is in a horrible situation and like most probably,
I wonder What The Heck Can Be Done! I don't know.
Maybe someone is able to offer lodging until a new
situation can be worked out. I'm on the street myself if I
miss a couple of paychecks. I don't doubt you got tires
slashed and the like for being Theosophical. The
'unensouled' demon-minion types sense who you are (a
positive influence and "theosophist") no matter what
excuse they use.
