Mind and Mirrors -- ideas and HPB

In THE KEY TO THEOSOPHY HPB posits and logically demonstrates on
the basis of the 7 principles that Manas is triune.
Buddhi-Manas, MANAS (per se) and Kama-Manas -- depending on the
motive and placement of Mind-Manas on a selected end so chosen.
I found the following references to be useful to me:  KEY pp.
91-92, 135-6, and 175-6 particularly the last.  Does that help ?

The whole key to the placement is "motive."
