Group usefulness

The paths through which mankind is evolving are many and diverse. All of
them are necessary and valuable. The path of political work is a difficult
path and demanding. There is the path of teaching, the path of
philosophical work, the mathematical path, if only to mention a few.
Mankind is a composite and complex entity with many parts and aspects.
There are people to play all the roles that are needed to let mankind as a
whole to be complete and balanced. Each individual is a part of some group
that has a special function for the benefit of the whole.

If the man can realise consciously his group and the special function that
is the task of that group, then his usefulness for the purpose of that
group, and also for the greater whole, is considerably increased. In most
cases the aim and purpose of the individual, and the group he is a part, is
unconscious or only dimly sensed. As the man progresses through
incarnation after incarnation he becomes ever more consciously aware of the
Purpose of his group and the greater whole, and the glorious plan is
unfolded before his amazed eyes. He then works hard to fit himself better
and better to serve that plan, and as a consequence his responsibilities
increases as he proofs himself to be able to stand the increased strain.

Why am I talking about this? Because this is a very practical matter for
us all. For some reasons we have chosen to be a part of a special group,
and that involves participating in the task of that group. That task is
very necessary and important for the progress of mankind. In simple words
it can be described as the work of materialising or bringing down to the
field of the lower mind some of the higher ideas that are needed to further
the progress of mankind.

These ideas must be clothed in a sane and rational costume. They must be
presented without any fanaticism or prejudices. They must be sensed in a
broad and deep manner so that their presentation is in conformity with the
inner sensed ideas.

This is a group work. It is not something that a single or a handful of
persons can accomplish. That is why the group unity is so important. And
group unity can only be established in a spirit of brotherhood - with a
loving understanding, care and solicitous attitude. With a respect for the
freedom and uniqueness of each individual, but also with that steady
attention to the purpose and the inner spiritual vision which keeps the
course straight.

We as a group have a responsibility to the whole mankind and we must not
fail. The group is large and distributed all over the earth. Many are
called to work, but only few respond. Everyone has a free will, and none
can take a part in a group work unless he decides it himself by his own
free will without any pressure. No outer organisation is needed for the
work, but the group members are linked by a mental co-ordination.
Individuals can work isolated each in his own place, but with the
technology now available, that isolation does not need to be so complete.
There is also telepathic communications, and in a way the Internet can be
considered as a materialisation of the telepathic communications.

Your are all completely free to reject all these ideas. That is the honest
way to do if they do not meet with an approval of your mind and heart.
