Dear Dallas,
Wholeheartedly I second your suggestion. Nothing is more illuminating than
to read a quote from an original source, because it is very hard for most of
us to summarize
or paraphrase accurately complex theosophical ideas or even simple
statements.
And if you want to share your own original theosophical thoughts, quotes can
be great foundations or backgrounds for your own products of independent
reflections, as is often the case when we quote each other in these
postings. (I very much enjoy when larger postings are cut apart and every
part receives its own reaction.)
Just take the time to find the book or the article--if you posses them--type
the quote and provide the usual information of title, author and page
numbers.
