Dear MKR

I take note of what you say you have heard from someone else who went to
Adyar and read some archival notes. Now that puts it at least 2 readers or
persons away from the actual writing, and can be deemed to be  opinionated
or interpretative.  Why should we not be able to make our own assessment of
the material before someone else gives their own opinion thereon ?

Personally I would only accept that which is in black and white, and which
all can see and read.  We cannot all go to Adyar, nor would the archives
necessarily be made open to anyone who applies to see them -- am I not
correct in that ?   What you say seems to imply that those expressions are
something to be ashamed of -- or do I read you (and the report you
received from your interlocutor) incorrectly ?

So whether or not the "founders" wrote anything which is slangy, or worse,
or better, we won't know.

We do however have for our reading in BLAVATSKY COLLECTED WORKS, Vol. I a
number of extracts or copies of material handwritten and otherwise
attributed to the "Founders."  Some from HPB's Diaries or Notebooks, and on
those pages Olcott added his own notes.

I do find some expressions quite "slangy, "but nothing which I would be
ashamed of.

Just want to set this matter right if possible;  and if I read you wrong,
then please correct me.
