I am fully familiar with the group. Almost 15 years ago, when I looked
into it, I found that they did not have the 501(c)(3) tax exempt status
and inititated some steps and finally with the help of an attorney
working for EPA they got the 501(c)(3) status.
One aspect of practical application of Universal Brotherhood, IMHO, is
seva and very little emphasis is placed on it in TS and delegating it to
TOS.
When HPB died, she wanted her death anniversary to be celebrated not by
astral travel or meditation or other occult practices, but she wanted
poor to be fed, which is nothing but seva. But few remember this except
in most lodges in India where even today poor are fed on White Lotus
Day.
