Dear Annette:

No "debate" believe me. Fair exchange ?

Yes, terms can be different, or, we put different interpretations on the
meaning and presentation of wods and sentences. That gets smoothed out in
time as we converse and adjust our common fields of experience.

Also, yes we are environed by our own natures and then another circle is
the thoughts, feelings, desires and urgings of others, near or remote from
us. And some are pleasant and others are dangerous for us and others. So
we have to discriminate, don't we ?

Why not use a sheet of paper, divide it into 2 and put on left or right
those diverging elements we know we have or lack -- such a practice
(reserved for ones' self) can begin to give a greater insight into our
assets and liabilities as people. We have so many factors working in us,
and some we understand and others appear to be overwhelming in conflict
with what we sense is "right." This process has worked for me to get me to
know at least what I have so far accomplished, and where I need to work to
progress more. It is an ever on-going thing for all of us.

So I believe that the best thing to do is to get as much straightened out,
on paper is good as it puts it down where we can see it as we can -- then
make any chages from that point onward we want to.

I look at what I just wrote: You and I are {to ourselves} the spectatorof
1. our bodies, 2, our feelings, 3, our desires, 4, our minds. We either
have some areas of ease and some of confusion -- which my not be identical
at all, but, are similar. All I am saying is that if we gather our natures
up for review we will have a better idea of what we cna and ought to do,
ideally.

No. I did not mean to do nothing. I meant rather, to wiat for the
appropriate time How to do this unless we know for a certainty what should
be done, and whether we are equipped to do it. I would not care tosail out
on an ocean with someone who had no experience in sailing ( assuming that I
have little or none myself -- in this life)

Hope this makes clearer my meaning Dal
