On the contrary, I not only affirm that she was in contact with,
and in some ways the agent of, several such brotherhoods, but
provide evidence of same. All that I deny is that they were one
single entity except in the most abstract of ways.
It's very flattering to be the object of so much attention, not
to say obsession. There does seem to be a pattern here: Algeo
spends 15 pages attacking my work; I write 7.5 in rebuttal.
Caldwell spends 42 pages attacking it (I think that's the length)
and I write 21 in rebuttal. Pratt writes 136 pages attacking the
work... if I write 68 in rebuttal, the next attack will be a
book.
But what happens if I don't say anything in reply? We're about to
find out. Stay tuned...
